Zhang Hailou woke up aboard a train heading deep into the vast mountains of Nanqiang. Sitting across from him, his mentor Zhang Haiqi handed him the research files on Bailejing, a legendary paradise hidden within the wilderness. Zhang Hailou noted the reports of rampant bandits, poisonous pests, and a fierce populace, which made entry almost impossible for ordinary people.
